Door locking system

Security at small doors

Euchner will be presenting one of its innovations at the SPS: the CTM door locking system. With its small dimensions of 120 x 36 x 25 millimetres, it meets current market requirements, as there is less and less space available for safety technology within the machine design.

Thanks to its special design, the CTM door locking system for use on small and lightweight doors and flaps is suitable for applications in machine tool construction and in the packaging and food industries, for example. © Euchner

The flexible, elastomer-mounted ball actuator also allows doors with small swing radii from 150 millimetres to be secured. With its special hygienic design, the CTM is suitable for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The bistable guard locking function of the safety switch ensures that the guard locking remains in its current state in the event of a power failure or when the system is switched off: this means that the door remains locked if it was previously locked. If the guard locking was not previously activated, the door can also be opened and closed as required. This makes it virtually impossible for people to be locked in unintentionally in the event of a power failure. The CTM also offers intelligent communication capabilities. It can be connected in series with other Euchner devices. The integrated interface also enables connection to the new ESM-CB evaluation unit, which forwards the data to the higher-level control level via IO-Link. as
