Safety and vision systems
Protection for used machines
Hema offers high-quality safety and vision systems for the retrofitting of machine tools.
Retrofitting older machines is often significantly cheaper than buying new ones. However, quality is crucial when selecting components. Hema offers a broad portfolio of high-quality bellows, safety screens and vision systems for the refurbishment of machines.
Bellows are one of the machine parts that are subject to operational wear, as they move countless times together with the axles they protect. The Hessian machine protection specialist Hema therefore manufactures its bellows from particularly robust special fabrics. All basic components as well as the material, shape, processing method and dimensions are tailored to the respective area of application. The SAMURAI range of bellows is particularly suitable for machining applications with hot and sharp-edged chips. They are additionally equipped with stainless steel plates that are mounted directly on the pleats.
Machine safety screens offer protection
Not only the machine axes, but also the operating personnel must be protected from flying chips and tool or workpiece parts. The safety windows from Hema are ideal for this because they are made of laminated glass: Towards the machine room, they are made of single-pane or laminated safety glass; on the operator side, they are made of abrasion-resistant coated polycarbonate. The edges of the panes are diffusion-tight and sealed to resist coolants. Hema supplies the safety glass panels ready for installation with or without a frame as required.
A retrofit perspective
When machine tools are in operation, the view into the interior is severely restricted by flying chips and splashing cooling lubricant. With the new Spinvista rotating windows, Hema provides an additional clear view of the machining processes in machine tools and machining centers. Installation of the Spinvista rotating window does not damage the machine safety screen, as Spinvista is either screwed onto the bonded mounting plate or bonded directly onto the screen. The installation can be carried out both as part of the original OEM equipment and as a retrofit without any problems.
