Enclosure system
Interior door provides double security
If enclosures are used as operating terminals, for example, buttons and displays installed on the outer door are often exposed to the weather and unauthorized access without protection. With the new internal doors from Rittal, the technical and operating levels can be separated in the enclosure.
This provides protection for the components installed in the rear area of the enclosure and also protects the operating personnel from accessing live parts. The inner door surface can be used as an additional mounting level for the installation of buttons, displays etc., thus providing additional mounting space in the enclosure. Depending on the application and requirements, the inner door can be installed at variable depths and thus flexibly in the enclosure.
For both the AX plastic enclosures and the AX compact enclosures in sheet steel, the installation of the respective inner door is time-saving and does not require any mechanical processing of the enclosure. The inner door in the AX plastic enclosure is simply mounted via the side mounting domes and in the AX sheet steel enclosure via the AX rail for interior fittings on the cam embossing in the enclosure. This eliminates the need for system manufacturers to carry out time-consuming and costly constructions themselves. Enclosures with protected operating elements on the inner door are used in harsh outdoor areas, for example: in special vehicles such as tankers and crane vehicles, but also in the water and wastewater industry, for example in sewage treatment plants, the maritime industry in ports, at airports and in railroad and tunnel applications, for example for signal control.
