A new long-range version is now available for the camera-based safety system PSENvip 2 for press brakes from Pilz: PSENvip Long Range is the first protective device with a protective range of up to 18 meters and is therefore also suitable for monitoring special press brakes.
The camera-based protection system complies with all current safety standards as well as EN 12622, so that PSENvip 2 guarantees maximum productivity with simple handling. Conversion to the new version is simple, as only the receiver unit needs to be replaced. With PSENvip Long Range, tandem presses, for example, can be safely monitored with just one protection system. Its use also eliminates the need for a combination of traveling protective device and light curtains, which means that savings can be made on investment costs alone. Pilz promises.
The long-range version also provides users with a hot-plug-capable protection system: two press brakes can be placed next to each other. This is possible because the transmitter and receiver can simply be folded away in the middle. The transmitter of machine one then continues to work with the receiver of machine two, without restarting. This avoids unnecessary downtimes and increases productivity. as
