Workwear

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Simply in good hands

The organization of workwear for the team usually also includes lockers, waste bins and, above all, locker systems. DBL offers solutions here. A look into practice.

Everything should be tidy - this also applies to the storage of workwear for employees. However, this poses challenges for many businesses, care institutions and companies. Often it is simply a matter of a lack of space. So how can dirty and clean workwear be separated and stored properly? And make it as easy and convenient as possible for employees to find clean clothes for changing?

"In textile leasing, we provide flexible systems - cupboard and/or hanging systems - for storing workwear," explains Thomas Krause from DBL - Deutsche Berufskleider-Leasing GmbH. "The service drivers of the regional DBL partners then replenish these regularly and punctually. And the employees can access their clean, tidy workwear at any time." According to the DBL expert, the right system can be found for every customer according to individual requirements and the space available.

Tidiness even when space is tight

This is also confirmed by DBL customer Daniel Toups. He is responsible for procurement and quality in the home economics department of the ageing and care division at Caritasverband für die Stadt Köln e.V.. The inpatient nursing staff there are equipped with rental workwear from DBL and also benefit from the wardrobe systems. "DBL supplies our nursing staff with fresh and sufficient sets once a week," explains Daniel Toups. Lockers and waste cabinets are also leased for hygienic storage. "DBL can also be rated very positively here, as its lockers require less floor space than the alternatives from competitors thanks to an extra storage compartment in the upper area. This makes implementation much easier. Because space is often in short supply in the facilities."

This makes the locker systems a practical and secure organizational aid for workwear in a wide range of facilities and companies. Thomas Krause from DBL explains: "Individual, lockable compartments ensure clear organization and prevent unauthorized access. At the same time, workwear is effectively protected from soiling. And yes, the compartments can be converted from single to double compartments if required - for more storage space and flexibility."

The professionals in the gas, water and electricity departments at Stadtwerke Quickborn - also a DBL customer - are also pleased. "In my opinion, the laundry cupboard used by DBL Ahrens in our materials management as a central collection point for all work clothes is particularly worth mentioning in our collaboration with DBL," explains Kay Mühle, Head of Central Services at Stadtwerke Quickborn. "When the DBL service driver arrives, he proceeds completely independently. He knows exactly how to get there, sorts the new laundry individually and then takes the laundry bag with him. It's all very well organized."
