Self-adjusting pliers for crimping
The Knipex Twistor16 crimping pliers make it possible to crimp wire end ferrules from almost any working position.
This is made possible by the all-round rotating crimping jaws, which are flexible and safe to use with eight noticeable locking positions. The crimping pliers automatically adapt to all cross-sections from 0.14 to 16 mm².
Crimping wire end ferrules without having to change the insert or pliers and from almost any working position - this is what the new Knipex Twistor16 offers: its 360° rotating crimping head ensures flexibility and time savings during electrical installation. The crimping head can be felt to lock into eight standard working positions when rotated. As the square crimp profile automatically adapts to the different cross-sections in the capacity range from 0.14 to 16 mm², no manual adjustment is required beyond selecting the working direction. Incorrect crimping due to incorrect crimp inserts is ruled out. Twin wire-end ferrules up to 2 x 6 mm² can also be crimped without any problems. Wire end ferrules up to 16 mm in length are crimped in a single operation. In addition, the crimping die, which is accessible from both sides and has no depth limit, also enables longer wire end ferrules to be crimped by simply pushing them in for a second crimping stroke.
The ergonomic grip of the lightweight and slim pliers and the increased manual force provided by a toggle mechanism ensure low-fatigue use. Consistently high, standard-compliant crimp quality is guaranteed by the unlockable positive lock on the oil-hardened Knipex Twistor16, which is made from special quality chrome vanadium electric steel.
