Process control with traceability
RS Components has added a new 300 W manual soldering platform to its range with the WXsmart from Weller. The soldering station uses TLS encryption and two-factor authentication to protect against cyber attacks and data skimming.
Intelligent soldering tips with integrated chips enable fast heat-up, automatic tip identification, data storage and serial numbers for traceability as well as tip offset and locking functions. The soldering iron range includes WXMPS-MS and WXUPS-MS (MIL-SPEC)-T0052923599 compliant specifications. Connectivity options include WLAN, LAN, USB and two RS232 ports. Support for IoT and Industry 4.0 standards enables remote control via mobile communication devices. Weller's Smart Control app provides a real-time dashboard for PCs, smartphones and tablets.
