Index trigger cuff
Putting an end to the glove
ProGlove, manufacturer of ergonomic wearables for industry, is discontinuing production of its standard glove. Instead, the index trigger cuff turns every glove into a ProGlove.
This step is all the more remarkable as the Standard Glove is not only ProGlove 's first ever wearable, but has also played a key role in shaping the organization's brand name. Nevertheless, this decision does not mean that the company is abandoning its glove scanner approach. Rather, the industrial wearable specialist wants to offer user companies the opportunity to turn any glove into a ProGlove in future. This is because the index trigger cuff fits over a wide range of work gloves. Users can also wear it without gloves. This makes it the right choice for almost any working environment.
"Rethinking barcode scanning means that we are constantly questioning everything - including the status quo of our own glove scanners," comments Andreas König, CEO of ProGlove, on this step. "It turned out that our index trigger is the best performing horse in our stable. So we took a step back and re-evaluated the situation. The cuff offers all the advantages of the standard glove. However, it offers additional options, such as full finger freedom, which is essential in certain working environments. In addition, we heard from many of our customers that their workers were wearing the Index Trigger over conventional work gloves. It therefore made sense to meet this growing demand and make the switch. Even more so because we can turn any glove into a ProGlove - regardless of the preferred glove materials, environmental conditions and size requirements."
ProGlove's glove scanner technology is based on a key observation: barcode scanning is indispensable in many industrial areas. At the same time, workers on site often wear gloves. By combining the two - glove and scanner - companies can achieve significant micro efficiencies. In addition to reducing overall scanning time by up to 50 percent, this can significantly improve quality. It also eliminates excess weight, which can save on the order of tons.
ProGlove's Index Trigger is available in industry standard sizes for left and right-handed users. The company will also continue to offer ProGlove Reel, a wearable for low-frequency scanning environments.
