Functional hinge allows doors to open and close automatically

The new GN 233.3 functional hinge made of high-performance polyamide with spring return extends the range of hinges from Ganter.

Standard parts specialist Ganter offers an extensive portfolio in the "Swivel & locking of doors and flaps" product group, which includes hinges in all shapes and sizes, different types of locking systems, accessories and edge protection sealing profiles.

In the area of functional hinges, Ganter is now introducing a new plastic hinge, the GN 233.3. Thanks to the reset function, the hinge, and therefore the flap or door attached to it, automatically returns to its original position as soon as it is released. The hinge is therefore ideal for automatically opening and closing or holding doors shut.

In addition to the reset torques, the functional hinge can also be subjected to high mechanical loads, as it is made of particularly resistant high-performance polyamide and therefore has a very high mechanical strength. The aluminum swivel sleeve and a stainless steel torsion spring guarantee maximum resistance to wear and corrosion. In tests, the clever design has proven that the torque of the reset does not change even after 100,000 actuation cycles.

The new functional hinge is available in various versions: Whether left or right return, with high or low spring return torque or equipped as a supplementary hinge without return spring - the hinge can be easily configured and ordered individually according to the needs of the application.
