Vehicle equipment

Mara Hofacker,

More than just lightweight shelves in the vehicle

Bott vario3 is characterized in particular by the fact that the van racking system is much more than just a few lightweight shelves in the car. The completely newly developed, innovative lightweight equipment offers craftsmen and service technicians many options for organizing their equipment. Bott has also integrated newly designed, practical elements for quick and easy load securing.

The low weight of Bott vario3 therefore saves fuel. Thanks to the new aluminum design of the van racking system, Bott's developers have made the system 15 percent lighter on average compared to the previous generation. The system provider achieves the stable structure of the van racking with innovative extruded profiles developed in-house. These elaborately manufactured profiles have a positive influence on behavior in the event of a rear-end collision: they twist without deforming significantly and are excellent at absorbing high loads. This ensures the safety of the driver and front passenger - despite the low weight.

More variable than ever

The new system dimensions of the van racking offer even more variability when organizing the equipment. Bott makes even better use of the van's interior - no space is wasted. Even a pallet can be easily accommodated in the load compartment, as the side sections can be designed to overhang from a certain height. Due to the overhang of the shelving, the distance between the two modules at floor level is greater than at the top. In the upper area of the van racking, the extended shelf depth provides generous space for drawers and cases.

One of the new solutions in the system is the new fully compatible Systainer³ case system. The cooperation partners Festool and Tanos developed it together with Bott to make everyday work even easier for professional users. All machines, tools and consumables are integrated into the vehicle equipment with the Systainer³ and are quickly to hand.

The newly developed small parts case from the Systainer³ product family, the Organizer, has a transparent lid. Bott offers various configurations of small parts boxes for it. It is available in two different widths. Both cases, the Systainer³ and the Organizer, have integrated pull-out rails. These allow them to be stored easily, neatly and securely on the shelf.

With the uniform Systainer³ packaging and transport system, everything can be neatly stored, perfectly organized and safely stowed away in the stationary workshop as well as at the mobile work site. Many different transport options and mobile workbenches complete the extensive range. The Systainer³ case system is available in two different widths and six case heights. All products in the range can be connected for carrying using the T-Loc element with just one handle.

Other innovations, such as the new varioSlide plastic drawer, offer new options for storing equipment. The lightweight drawer made of aluminum and plastic can be pulled out completely from the van racking using the ergonomic handle and taken along. Dividers and an anti-slip mat ensure that the contents do not slip during the journey. The new V-box on the side of the shelf offers a practical way of storing a folding rule and small parts, for example. This means that the most important items are always quickly to hand.

Safer than ever

The Bott vario3 van racking system is universally configurable and offers a wide range of load securing options. The new patented C-Lash system is particularly practical and can be used to integrate lashing straps on shelves and storage trays. It is quick and easy to operate with just one hand.

The grooves integrated into the profile in both the vertical and horizontal system components accommodate the C-Lash brackets and fittings for load securing. Bott also continues to integrate the proven and widely used Airline system. For lashing straps with Airline fittings, lashing points can be quickly and easily retrofitted anywhere on the aluminum profiles of the van racking system.

Long rods and tubes are best stored in the new practical long parts holder with integrated cable pull. The material is stored safely and neatly and can be pulled out effortlessly.

The Bott vario3 van racking system complies with all relevant regulations for load securing and has been tested for strength and safety in crash tests. This means that the user is always on the safe side, even in critical driving situations or in the event of an accident.

The tried and tested remains

The perfo perforated wall system allows hooks and holders for tools to be attached anywhere in the Bott vario3 van racking system. All material is clearly arranged here. On request, Bott can also increase the loading volume of the van racking system with an underfloor solution. The double floor extends the system with drawers that are ergonomically accessible from the outside. The underfloor module offers effective theft protection, as it is not possible to see what is in the drawers from the outside.

Bought or leased?

Bott designs and plans the new Bott vario3 van racking system exactly according to the ideas and wishes of its customers. The Bott consultants take care of all the steps so that the customer has as little effort as possible when procuring their van racking. Regardless of whether the customer wants to finance the equipment themselves or through a third party, Bott accompanies its customers through every step of the process.
