At A+A in Düsseldorf, 3M is presenting a range of safety solutions for numerous industries, including construction, metalworking, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
The company will be presenting numerous new solutions for personal protective equipment (PPE) for work in various sectors at the trade fair. Through segment-specific presentation of safety solutions, workers from different industries can find the ideal, complete product range for their working environment. 3M has in-depth requirements expertise in various industries and offers a wide range of solutions for workers. The spectrum of PPE ranges from product highlights for the metal industry and construction to solutions for handling hazardous substances.
What you breathe in counts
For over 50 years, 3M has been a leader in the field of respiratory protection equipment, protecting workers in numerous applications in various industries. At A+A, 3M will present its latest educational program to help managers reduce their employees' exposure to harmful airborne particles in the workplace. The campaign, entitled "What you breathe matters; Choose Wisely", focuses on the importance of choosing high-quality respiratory protection. Ensure that respiratory protection is correctly fitted and worn for the entire duration of potential exposure.
Focus on sustainability
A core aspect of A+A this year is the topic of sustainability. 3M is pursuing the goal of making its production, products and solutions more sustainable. For this reason, the effects of the products are critically analyzed over the entire product life cycle, from packaging to disposal. Another aim is to manufacture more products in Europe in order to avoid long and energy-intensive transportation routes. At A+A, visitors can see in detail what steps 3M is taking to make occupational safety more sustainable.
The 3M DBI-SALA XE series offers workers at height more comfort and a range of advanced features to increase productivity. Also on display will be the new 3M Secure Click Reusable Full Face Mask FF-800 series, the next generation of 3M reusable respirators. The 3M Secure Click FF-800 features a seatbelt-style filter connector and an innovative seal control button that gives workers one-click safety.
For workers who need hearing protection, 3M introduces its new 3M PELTOR Professional In-Ear Communication Headset PIC 100 for industrial applications. It features ambient noise monitoring technology, hearing protection with Bluetooth connectivity and an innovative on-demand fit test.
Safety during welding
Also on show at A+A will be the new fifth generation of Speedglas welding masks, which have been developed in close collaboration with welders and safety engineers to ensure better comfort. This includes the G5-01, a welding helmet with respirator for use in demanding environments. Also on display will be the G5-02, the world's first welding helmet with curved ADF lens for maximum field of vision.
Live demo at the trade fair stand
The 3M DBI-SALA Davit System HC (High Capacity), which was developed for accessing and rescuing from shafts and confined spaces, can be experienced live at the stand at A+A. 3M will be offering interactive live demonstrations of the system in action during the trade fair. The numerous improvements that have been made to meet the requirements of a constantly changing working environment will also be presented.
