At GrindTec, Lehmann-UMT will be presenting its own in-house developments in the field of ultrafine filtration.

The filter system, which is equipped with a double tank and a scraper discharge system, operates in three stages and thus achieves extremely fine filtration results. After the inlet, the cooling lubricant first passes through a compact filter. In the second stage, a lamella separator utilizes the inertia of the particles and lowers them to the bottom. Finally, the actual ultra-fine filtration follows by means of special filter flows, which ultimately enable a filter fineness of 2 μm. The filter system is also supplied with a plate heat exchanger for cooling the cooling lubricant, a remote maintenance module and an installation support for replacing the filter drains. The system can be equipped with additional filter stages such as magnetic separation. The system can be used for grinding hard metal, glass ceramics or plastic. Oil and water can be filtered.

Lehmann-UMT took over the ultra-fine filtration business from the Swiss company Aro Technologies last year and has since expanded and developed it further. cs
