Lightweight construction solutions from Baden-Württemberg

Increasing payloads and reducing fuel consumption - this is possible with lightweight construction. During the IAA Commercial Vehicles, seven exhibitors will be presenting their lightweight construction solutions at the joint stand "Lightweight construction from Baden-Württemberg".

Among other things, exhibitors from Baden-Württemberg showed lightweight components made of fiber composites for car body structures. © Weber Fibertech

Gaugler & Lutz oHG is the specialist for lightweight core materials - this allows extremely lightweight parts to be produced with high rigidity at the same time.

Weber Fibertech manufactures cost-effective lightweight components made of fiber composites for car body structures. By substituting metal parts, weight savings of around 30 to 50 percent are possible.

Saint Jean specializes in the development and manufacture of aluminium and steel parts for chassis, bodyshells, ultra-light aluminium wheels and drivetrains.

Bada's plastic granules are not just a substitute for metals - additives provide special properties such as electrical insulation or flame retardancy.

KCN presents its anti-slip floors for truck bodies and trailers. This means that tie-down lashing times or the laying of anti-slip mats can be saved.

A2LT - Austrian Advanced Lightweight Technology is also represented at the joint stand, which pools the expertise of Austrian companies and research institutions in the field of lightweight construction.

How can you realize individual lightweight solutions in real time and drastically shorten the time-to-market in this way? At the joint stand, you can also learn about the advantages of a completely digitalized development chain from another exhibitor that is still in the start-up phase.
