Tente aims to meet customer requirements with castors, wheels and the best possible overall solutions. The product portfolio for the industrial, commercial, transport and medical sectors includes standard products as well as customized special designs and system-integrated solutions.
For example, with the development of a quality wheel, Tente has found a remedy for rapid wear of the tread. The new wheel design with ball bearings consists of an aluminum core that is encapsulated with polyamide, whereby the core and tread are interlocked. This results in a larger connecting surface and ensures that both components mesh with each other in the long term. Another example is container trolleys from Tente with halved noise levels and twice the service life; Tente has developed the Duratech silent hybrid wheel for this purpose. The wheel body and tread are made of polyamide, while the core is made of elastic solid rubber. The combination of the two plastics ensures maximum noise damping. They also provide protection against cold and heat, dirt, rain and snow. Compared to conventional wheels, which are used for an average of around two years, the Duratech silent impresses with more than twice as long a service life of up to five years. pb
