Trapo loading system
Automatic car loader saves time at the ramp
The Trapo Loading System (TLS) is a fully automated logistics solution for loading and unloading trucks and containers with pallets. With this solution, which can be seen at Logimat, the company aims to close the gap between the warehouse and the loading ramp.
A patent application has already been filed for the function and design of the loading system: The space-saving car loader is only 4.30 meters long, just 1.30 meters high and can carry up to 3.6 tons of payload per row. According to the manufacturer, comparable products are longer and less mobile. As an option, the TLS can be placed on rails and thus moves transversely to the loading axis in order to serve several lifts. It can be integrated into any production, storage and sequencing system. Depending on requirements, several TLSs can operate simultaneously in one loading zone. Trapo also offers all components in stainless steel so that the car loader can also be used in high care areas such as the food industry, pharmaceutical industry and medical technology.
Pallet handling process
Trucks and containers are loaded with pallets in four sequences. First, pallets are placed next to each other in rows on the stationary part of the TLS. Then the mobile loading unit picks up the rows and transports them to a truck or container. At the loading ramp, the TLS not only independently compensates for height differences - it also navigates autonomously, avoids any obstacles and also compensates for differences on the ramp.
Unloading then takes place in exactly the reverse order. In this way, the truck loader reduces the loading time of a 13-meter-long trailer with a capacity of 33 pallets to around 15 minutes.
At Logimat, Trapo will also be demonstrating fully automated pallet handling when the automated guided vehicle system from the TTS series takes over live pallet transportation between the warehouse and the loading system. The overall system TIM, the Trapo Intelligent Management System, offers security in the spirit of Vision 4.0; it controls, monitors and provides system statuses and evaluations around the clock. as
