Trailer improves appliance safety
Brady's new pallet truck and electric pallet jack trailers enable companies to improve regulatory compliance, simplify pallet truck inspections and attach inspection results directly to the equipment.
According to Article 5 of EU Directive 2009/104/EC, work equipment (including pallet trucks) must be regularly inspected by an authorized person, and these inspections must be documented and archived in writing. Brady's pallet truck and electric pallet truck tags make it easier to comply with this directive, as these tags can be attached directly to pallet trucks to facilitate inspections. The tags feature a removable insertable label that can hold up to 21 or 31 inspection results and inspector signatures.
On the back of the trailers is a checklist based on best practice procedures to guide inspectors during inspections to ensure the highest level of equipment safety. Separate best practice checklists are available for pallet trucks and electric pallet trucks.
Directly visible on the device
The tag holders for pallet trucks and electric pallet trucks can be easily attached to pallet trucks using cable ties or adhesive strips. This allows all responsible employees to check the current inspection status directly on the device. The signature of an authorized inspector confirms that the device was classified as ready for use during the inspection.
If a pallet truck fails the inspection, authorized inspectors can simply remove the insert plate. The "Do not use" notice is then clearly displayed on the holder. This means that employees know at a glance that they must use a different, safe pallet truck instead. The tags for pallet trucks and electric pallet trucks are available in different languages. as
