Precisely synchronized movements and linear positioning play an important role in assembly and handling in production processes. Timing belts have the task of transporting goods to the next station at exactly the right time.
Habasit, supplier of conveyor and processing belts, will be showcasing Habasync timing belts in various widths, special coatings and freely selectable driver profiles for the precise positioning of goods in the material flow. Special end connections ensure fast and smooth belt changes. The belt widths range from ten to 600 millimetres. The widest timing belts available on the market have a pitch of T10 or H and are made of thermoplastic polyurethane with an aramid tension member. Individual configurations are possible depending on the intended use.
The thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 88 to 92 Shore A (depending on the type of base material) is also a material with properties suitable for many areas: It is resistant to oil, grease or chemical agents on the one hand, and hydrolysis-resistant on the other. The Habasync Hinge Joint mechanical end connection enables quick and easy timing belt replacement for widths from 25 to 600 millimetres. It reduces machine downtimes of up to eight hours to less than 30 minutes. The stable hinge joint made of high-strength plastic is fully integrated into the timing belt and ensures extremely easy handling when changing belts. pb
