Material Handling Systems takes over Vanriet
The Dutch system integrator Vanriet is now part of Material Handling Systems (MHS), one of the leading system integrators for material handling in North America.
MHS is a company of the investment company Thomas H. Lee Partners. Vanriet is to remain independent as a developer and supplier of automated sorting solutions and components, according to a press release. Like Vanriet, MHS is focused on the following segments: Courier, express and parcel services, warehouse and distribution customers and 3PL. The integration will give Vanriet access to new markets worldwide and offer a larger product portfolio, it said.
MHS, based in Louisville, Kentucky, is one of the market leaders in the industry in North America. The company designs, implements and maintains turnkey sorting and distribution systems for the parcel delivery industry. "The complementary products and services will result in synergy effects from which both companies will benefit in the future," says Rik van den Boog, Managing Director at Vanriet.
The Dutch intralogistics specialist is also expanding its global service and maintenance services. On the other hand, the cooperation will result in economic benefits: For example, a joint supply chain strategy leads to economies of scale. as
