Longitudinal transfer system

Sorted endless CDs

The Swiss conveyor technology specialist Montech is presenting an application consisting of a longitudinal transfer system and a vacuum conveyor belt. This customized solution transports and sorts CDs or other flat workpieces: The vacuum conveyor belt deposits the CDs after they have been previously categorized, and a circulating transfer system carries the CD stacks away.

"It is an endless process - suction, transport, deposit - that has no unproductive return journey and helps to optimize the sorting process," explains Gianluca Aloisi, Director Sales at Montech. The solution is designed using standard modular components and functions autonomously. The vacuum conveyor belt has a speed of five meters per second and therefore increases the productivity of the process. pb
