iF Design Award for Crown pallet truck
Crown has been honored with the iF Design Award by the iF International Forum Design. The 63-member jury of experts awarded the seal of approval in the "Automobiles/Vehicles" category for the product design of the compact Crown WP 3010 lift truck.
"The compact WP 3010 electric pallet truck is a smart solution, particularly for a wide range of tasks in the food retail, beverage and logistics sectors. As a result, this agile powerhouse stands for faster goods handling and higher productivity at minimum cost. The fact that our work is repeatedly recognized by renowned minds in the design world is an additional incentive to consistently pursue our successful design concept," says Jim Kraimer, Director Industrial Design at Crown.
With the WP 3010, Crown expanded its WP 3000 pallet truck series in 2017 with a compact and maneuverable device. With a tare weight (without battery) from 279 kilograms, it is light, yet powerful and extremely efficient. The pallet truck can be maneuvered in confined spaces and can withstand collisions thanks to its robust steel covers. It has a load capacity of up to 1.6 tons and is designed so that it can easily be stored in the remaining space of a fully loaded truck. Alternatively, it can be carried in a transport box underneath the vehicle.
Since 1962, design institutions and associations have honored Crown forklifts with more than 100 awards. Crown has now received the iF Design Award for the 30th time. The award was officially presented at a gala event at BMW Welt in Munich on March 9, 2018. as
