Management change at Multivac

After more than 18 years as Managing Director of the Multivac Group, Hans-Joachim Boekstegers will hand over the business to Christian Traumann and Guido Spix on January 1, 2020 and leave the company.

Hans-Joachim Boekstegers joined the Multivac Group as Managing Director on April 1, 2001. He is responsible in particular for the consistent expansion of Multivac's product portfolio as well as its sales and service network. Today, the company claims to be one of the leading manufacturers of processing and packaging solutions with 85 subsidiaries. During this time, turnover has more than quadrupled and amounted to around 1.1 billion euros at the end of 2018, while the number of employees has risen from 1,600 to around 5,900.

From January 1, 2020, Christian Traumann and Guido Spix will continue to lead the group of companies as dual leadership. Traumann will assume responsibility for sales and finance, while Spix will be responsible for technology and production. Christian Traumann had already been working for the Multivac Group as Commercial Director since the beginning of 2002 and was appointed Managing Director and CFO in August 2008. Guido Spix joined the company as Managing Director in March 2009 and has since held the position of CTO/COO. as
