Avoiding downtime in recycling plants

Perma lubrication systems are suitable for ensuring that conveyor belts in recycling plants do not come to an unexpected standstill due to bearing or motor damage. Their use seals the lubrication point against contamination. In this way, conveyor belts or electric motors can be reliably lubricated and downtimes avoided.

The task of generating new products, secondary raw materials or energy from waste materials requires smooth process reliability and optimum machine availability from recycling plants and their employees. The mostly fully automated systems separate, sort and shred a wide variety of materials. In addition to the crushers, shredders and air separators, the heart of the plants are the often large and widely branched conveyor belt systems. If a belt stops unexpectedly because a machine breaks down due to bearing or motor damage, this has an immediate effect on all subsequent processes. Perma lubrication systems are ideal for preventing this.

Perma lubrication systems provide a dosage precisely matched to the lubrication point over an adjustable period of time. This means that there is no under-lubrication, but also no over-lubrication and any associated contamination. Depending on requirements, different lubricants can be used or the lubrication system can even be integrated into a machine-dependent control system.

Automatic lubrication on conveyor belts, for example with the Star Vario, not only extends maintenance intervals and lubrication intervals, but also reduces the need to stock lubricants, as the lubrication systems can be conveniently ordered with the right lubricant. The lubrication systems can be used and changed easily by hand and without special tools.
