Automated transport

Eleven FTF shall you be

Sauer Polymertechnik has ordered an automated guided vehicle system (AGV) with eleven new ERC 213a automated guided vehicles (AGVs) from Jungheinrich for its production site in Föritztal, which will handle the material flow between production and the high-bay warehouse in two halls.

The automated trucks are connected to the warehouse management system via the Jungheinrich logistics interface. The AGVs travel to more than 150 stations. The routes are up to 870 meters long. The AGVs are expected to carry out over 100 transports per hour at Sauer. The ERC 213a vehicle type used is an automated high-lift truck specially designed for transport processes in confined spaces. A 2.8 kW three-phase AC motor ensures constant performance, while the electrically controlled lift motor ensures smooth, quiet lifting at lifting heights of up to 4,400 millimetres. Safety systems check the travel path for obstacles during operation. as
