Fire protection configurator for shaft configuration
With a fire protection configurator, Viega has developed a web application at viega.de/brandschutzkonfigurator that is designed to simplify planning work in building services fire protection. The user is guided step by step through the menu and can quickly plan a shaft layout that complies with the latest fire protection regulations using the manufacturer's fire protection solutions.
The configuration starts with information on the type of duct and the ceiling thickness. You can then start directly with the virtual shaft assignment at the click of a mouse: A pipe or duct system with its function, the desired dimension and possible penetration seals is added step by step. Based on the test certificates, all common shaft layouts are filtered and available for configuration.
The same applies to the tested penetration seals with the possible insulation thicknesses. With each selection from the drop-down lists, the entire shaft assignment is built up successively, line by line. At the same time, a graphic is created in which the manhole dimensions are specified with a minimum zero distance or taking into account an individual installation distance. This top view also illustrates the subsequent installation situation.
