Thomson Industries, a specialist in mechanical drive solutions, will be exhibiting at SPS together with Altra Industrial Motion Corporation. The focus will be on linear drive components.
Among other things, Thomson will be exhibiting the smart electromechanical linear actuator Electrak HD, precision linear actuators, linear bearings and guides, linear drive systems and a complete range of ball and trapezoidal screw drives.
Thanks to its high load capacity of up to 16 kilonewtons, the Electrak HD actuator is virtually predestined for the switch from hydraulics to electrics, the so-called "electrification". It also features integrated on-board electronics, including a synchronization function for lifting asymmetrical or bulky loads. As if that were not enough, the Electrak HD offers an SAE J1939 CAN bus option and stroke lengths of up to 1000 millimetres.
