Sealing improved
From NSK comes the optimized RA series of linear roller guides. It is equipped with new V1 seals and an improved cover. In machine tool construction, roller guides often work in contaminated environments.
Depending on the application, they are exposed to aluminum shavings, metal particles and graphite dust. If these contaminants get inside the carriage, the service life is impaired. Separate protection systems such as bellows cannot reliably eliminate this risk. NSK has therefore optimized the RA series roller guides. The carriages can now be fitted with high-performance seals that protect the roller recirculation area against the ingress of contamination. The V1 seal is used here. The seals are used at the front of the guide carriage. A further seal is provided on the underside of the guide carriage. As axles are often mounted upside down or at an angle, the improved lower seal helps to prevent the ingress of dirt. As an option, the RA recirculating roller bearing guides can be ordered with sealing caps or a cover strip for the mounting holes.
