Lower operating costs due to less maintenance
The BSHP ball rail guides and BASA ball screw drives from Bosch Rexroth now achieve up to four times longer lubrication intervals.
In more and more applications, these can even be realized maintenance-free over the entire service life. As a result, the low-maintenance to maintenance-free linear technology minimizes operating costs and also protects the environment because less lubricant is used. The most recent inspection showed that the lubrication intervals for the BSHP ball rail guides were twice as long as previously documented. The carriages cover up to 20,000 km before the first relubrication.
The current generation of BASA ball screw drives can achieve up to 200 million revolutions with the basic factory lubrication. Here, the intervals have even quadrupled. The balls run along the spindle for around 12,800 km.
The fact that the range until relubrication has increased for both product groups is partly due to the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes and partly to the design. The BSHP carriages achieve optimum values for running accuracy, friction forces and friction force fluctuations thanks to the special run-in zone. The BASA ball screw drives score with very high load ratings due to their design. Both component groups have a very high level of robustness, precision and performance.
Longer lubrication intervals also reduce resource requirements. For applications that require relubrication, various lubrication point options ensure good accessibility to the linear guide in the machine. For example, the ball guide carriages can be reached from eight points.
Linear technology from Bosch Rexroth is also efficient when it comes to engineering. The component previously designed in the Linear Motion Designer calculation program can be configured ready for installation in just a few minutes using the online configurator and ordered via the eShop. CAD data is automatically generated and provided.
