Linear guides

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Linear technology for robotics and automation

Rollon presented itself together with the other companies at the Timken Group's joint stand. Thanks to their ability to self-align, Rollon's Compact Rail systems can compensate for parallelism errors of the mounting surfaces in one or two planes as well as height offset or angular errors between the guides. The linear guides with induction-hardened and ground raceways are also compact, low-maintenance, insensitive to dirt and dust and designed for high travel speeds and accelerations.

Rollon offers a wide range of telescopic slides that cover almost all applications. The linear slides with ball and roller bearings and hardened raceways are characterized by high resistance to shocks and vibrations and exhibit only minimal deflection even under high loads. With the Cobot Transfer Unit from Rollon, the reach of UR robots can be extended quickly and easily. The all-in-one package consists of a configurable linear axis including pre-assembled cables, a control cabinet and the software component for UR caps. It is UR+ certified, plug-and-play capable and intuitive to operate. The result: more efficient capacity utilization, more flexible processes and lower costs. It doesn't always have to be a robot. In many cases, a combination of linear movements is actually the more suitable choice. Multi-axis systems from Rollon bring automation up to speed. They are versatile, efficient, compact and have proven themselves in many applications.
