Lifting columns for a wide range of tasks

Manufacturer Norelem has launched a new system of lifting columns onto the market.

The systems consist of the lifting column itself, a control unit and a handset. They can improve ergonomics at individual workstations, but can also be used in complex systems in machine and plant construction. The technology is fully integrated into the electrically operated aluminum lifting columns. The systems are maintenance-free and can be put into operation quickly and easily and operated intuitively according to the plug-and-work principle. The norelem range includes versions with four different strokes of up to 500 millimetres, which can be bridged at a speed of up to 8 millimetres per second. The lifting columns are designed for tensile and compressive loads and guarantee self-locking even under maximum load.

A maximum of two lifting columns can be operated using the matching control unit, which is also available from norelem, whereby up to two control units can be connected to each other - this makes it possible to move a total of four lifting columns simultaneously and in parallel. The control system features a dynamic duty cycle calculation and overload protection as standard. Integrated collision detection (SPP - Smart Product Protection) optimizes process reliability. Visual status messages are provided via an LED display.

The control unit is operated via a special handset equipped with an LCD display and six function buttons. This device can be used to save the positions of the lifting columns and easily switch between users. Last but not least, users can use the handset to make changes to the control system.
