Modular linear axes

Heavy-duty axles for production and logistics

Rollon has designed the Tecline linear axes especially for handling heavy workpieces. They are particularly resilient and dynamic and are suitable for bridging long strokes and for use in dirty working environments.

The Tecline linear units from the Actuator Line have a self-supporting profile made of extruded, anodized and hardened aluminium and are equipped with a double guide system and a trolley drive. They reach speeds of 3.5 meters per second, so the manufacturer promises fast and quiet handling of loads weighing up to 2,000 kilograms.

Modular linear axes for industrial automation
The Tecline uses helical, hardened racks with ground teeth - ideal for transporting heavy loads over long distances. The maximum travel distance of an axle profile is 10,800 millimetres. Longer distances can be bridged by connecting several profiles. With a repeat accuracy of plus/minus 0.05 millimetres, the modular linear units also provide the necessary precision for positioning tasks with millimetre accuracy.

The heavy-duty axes are designed to guarantee low-maintenance operation, a long service life, low noise levels and reliable operation even in dirty environments. Thanks to the quick and easy assembly, multi-axis systems, such as pick-and-place modules, can be set up in no time at all. A selection of profile sizes up to 360 millimetres is available for this purpose. Depending on the application, Rollon supplies the automation components with prismatic roller guides (type PAR) or recirculating ball bearing guides (type PAS). Several carriages can be operated independently of each other.

Design of multi-axis systems
The prismatic roller or linear guideways can be found in numerous automation technology applications. Robotics, palletizing, production lines, logistics and the manufacture of machines with axis movements in Cartesian space in particular benefit from the properties of the Tecline. The series has a modular design and thus enables the construction of individually designed automation systems. as
