Grip chains
Foils clamped
Chain specialist Iwis presents new versions of grip chains. These chains have wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant clamping elements for the safe feeding, transportation and positioning of thin-walled, large-area materials, such as films.
Grip chains are used in the packaging industry, medical technology, the electrical industry, PCB production and metalworking. For applications in food technology, all chains can be provided with a food-safe initial lubricant. Different spring forces allow different materials to be gripped gently and held securely. The clamp fits precisely into the groove, which ensures a better holding force. The films do not warp and are not deformed at the clamp contour. Dimpled plates ensure functional reliability and hygiene.
The base chains are chemically nickel-plated; maintenance-free versions of the Megalife series are available on request. The recommended maximum application speed is two meters per second for the ½-inch grip chain and 0.6 meters per second for the 5/8-inch grip chain. Modified control geometries are required for higher speeds. The manufacturer offers grip chains in various designs to suit the material to be transported. pb
