Friction joints

Multidimensional panning

The new friction joints from Fath work with a fixed friction torque that prevents the swivel arm from dropping undesirably. As a result, vertical swiveling is now also possible, according to the manufacturer.

While conventional joints only allow horizontal movement, the friction joints open up more design freedom. By simply swiveling, the finished system arm can be adapted multi-dimensionally to different working positions, workpiece and product sizes and body height. The friction joints are available for the standard profile grid dimension of 40 millimetres, slot 8 and optionally with six fixed friction torques from 0.5 to 15 Newton meters.

Designers can cover all requirements in terms of length, design and movement radius with a configuration tailored to their needs. Even very long and heavily loaded swivel arms can be held permanently in the desired position with a fixed torque of up to 15 Newton meters - without time-consuming readjustment. As the friction joints can be installed with horizontal and vertical axis positions, space-saving ceiling mounting is also possible. The swivel arm can be pushed upwards with a handle. as
