Tolerance sleeves
Easily replaceable connection
Dr. Tretter will be focusing on its tolerance sleeves at the FMB-Süd supplier trade fair. The force-fit connecting elements can be used in a variety of ways. Users can easily remove and replace them. This gives them an advantage over press and adhesive connections.
The FMB-Süd serves as a meeting place for decision-makers from the mechanical engineering industry and their suppliers to exchange ideas directly. Dr. Tretter will be presenting a selection from its extensive range at the trade fair. These include tolerance sleeves - slotted sheet metal sleeves with beads that are embossed like wave crests. The material used is spring steel strip, which can withstand temperatures of up to 250 degrees Celsius in the stainless steel version. Special versions can even be used at temperatures of up to 450 degrees Celsius or in aggressive chemical environments.
The tolerance sleeve sits in the gap between the bearing bore and the shaft. The shaft crests, which are distributed over the entire circumference of the tolerance sleeve and act like many small compression springs, ensure a tight fit. The shaft crests are elastically deformed by a certain oversize of the tolerance sleeve. This creates a frictional connection between the bearing and shaft. The components can thus compensate for center misalignments, for example, and prevent vibrations or thermal expansion. They are used, for example, in flywheels or gearwheels in drive technology and in the aluminum housings of pumps or motors. Compared to other shaft-hub connections, the components are usually easier to handle - at very economical overall costs.
Dr. Tretter will also be showcasing other solutions in Augsburg, such as the linear guides from the Movitec product line. These combine ball screw drive, linear guide and axis profile. In addition, there are the new Air Cargo ball transfer units, which are extremely lightweight, as well as track roller guides with a measuring system, C-rail guides and NSK rail guides. as
