Linear modules
Back in the program
The discussion about sustainability and environmental awareness has led to a renaissance of the LE-6 and LE-9 pneumatic linear units from Friedemann Wagner.
Compressed air is available in pneumatic systems anyway. If this is also used for damping, there is no need for additional external dampers. The linear modules have a built-in pneumatic damping system ex works; a piston in the guide head that is permanently pressurized with air acts against the direction of movement. Compressed air is therefore used for drive and deceleration (against an air cushion). This trick enables virtually wear-free damping of the load without the need to purchase additional dampers or replace them regularly due to wear and tear.
For damping adjustment, stop screws are installed which are screwed in or out to adjust the stroke. External throttle check valves can be used for control. The linear units are available in stroke lengths of 100, 200 and 300 millimetres (LE-9: also 400 mm) and are suitable for push and portal operation thanks to their design. The stroke can be adjusted over the entire travel. as
