Linear modules

Electric slide series is complete

The electric linear modules from Afag enable flexible positioning and measuring in the handling process. The electric slides are an essential component for this. Afag has expanded the series.

The lightweight ES8 and ES12 electric slides in the Afag portfolio were developed for low weights and short strokes. They are available in different versions with freely programmable strokes from zero to 100 millimetres. They are suitable for peak forces of up to 2.74 and 10.7 Newtons respectively. Both models have a repeat accuracy of plus/minus 0.02 millimeters. The ES20 and ES30 models with freely programmable strokes from 0 to 500 millimetres and possible peak forces of between 67 and 255 Newtons are used for medium-sized applications.

Two variants for heavier weights
The ES40 completes the electric slide series for heavier weights. Users can choose between two versions of this model: The ES40 is suitable for peak forces of up to 550 newtons, while the ES40-HP version is even suitable for up to 1024 newtons. And all this with a width of just 80 millimetres. As with the ES20 and ES30 models, the repeat accuracy of both variants is plus/minus 0.05 millimetres, but can also be optimized to plus/minus 0.01 millimetres using an external position measuring system. The new electric axes are available in various strokes between 0 and 500 millimetres. The holding positions of all slides are freely programmable and are driven by an electric linear motor.

Afag also points out the advantages of its electric slides: These include the modular design and the slim design with a low module height. Thanks to their low-wear design, the electric slides promise a long service life. Added to this is the single-cable connection without sensor cables and without shock absorbers. The electric slides also run particularly quietly. The solutions reduce maintenance work and optimize the accuracy of the processes. as
