Known from the office world, TeamViewer's remote connectivity solutions have also found their way into industry. The company is now strengthening its commitment in the industrial environment with a cooperation with control system manufacturer IBHsoftec: together they have developed a PLC control unit with a pre-installed TeamViewer agent.

The pre-installed remote software on the new IBH Link UA PLC module allows users to access almost all systems remotely. This requires a connection with an Ethernet cable and a power source. This means that the modules can be delivered to the installation site and set up on site without the need for a specialist technician. In addition to remote maintenance and problem solving, this also enables remote installation of the control unit.

Existing IHBsoftec modules can also be retrofitted with the TeamViewer Agent by means of an update. Thanks to the simple installation of the PLC units, not only new machines but also brownfield systems can be made fit for the IoT age reliably and cost-effectively. All modules with the pre-installed TeamViewer Agent also include a one-year TeamViewer IoT license.
