The new release is more robust than its predecessor, supports more SQL functions and PostgreSQL tools and offers new options for working with time series. In line with customer requirements, the focus of development is on the secure and simple storage of large volumes of data and their highly efficient time-based analysis in real time.

CrateDB is a distributed SQL database that is based on a NoSQL architecture and can therefore utilize the convenience of SQL for processing any structured or unstructured data types. The architecture allows horizontal scaling by interconnecting servers to ingest millions of data per second and hundreds of terabytes of cluster size. Version 4.0 is available for download.
