Gateway controller

Platform with a small footprint

Adlink is launching an IIoT-ready controller with an IoT gateway onto the market. According to the manufacturer, the compact device is suitable for harsh operating environments such as industrial automation, transportation, agriculture and water management as well as smart city applications thanks to its extended temperature range of -40 to +85 °C.

IIoT-ready controller with IoT gateway

In its function as a gateway and embedded controller, MXE-210 forms a bridge for data exchange between operating technology and information technology. Third-party manufacturers are supported through conformity with numerous industry standards. These include Modbus, EtherCAT, DDS, MQTT and CANOpen by Vortex Edge Connect as well as Wi-Fi, BT, LoRa, 3G and 4G LTE for data communication and wireless transmission.

As a controller, MXE-210 uses the same protocols to communicate with and directly manage industrial devices. The embeddedSIM (eSIM) integrated into the MXE-210's gateway automatically switches between regional networks, providing a more secure and robust alternative to multiple SIM cards used to send data as rail vehicles move between regions. The pre-installed e-SIM eliminates the time required to replace conventional SIM cards. sw
