With model variants for Fast Ethernet, Gigabit and PoE and equipped with 5 to 24 ports, the managed switches in Weidmüller 's Advanced Line ensure a high degree of flexibility. The devices support a combination of ring and line redundancy, whereby several Ethernet switches are linked in a line network. By configuring the head and tail switches, both ends of the chain are integrated into the network. With the ring and line redundancy method, administrators can create redundant topologies in each network segment.

If a network segment fails, the network restores itself in 30 ms for up to 250 switches by activating a backup path. To ensure smooth operation even in the event of a fault, there is an external backup and restore module that is used to save the configuration of the device.
