AI for industrial robots

The Munich-based robotics companies Robominds and Robco announce their official partnership. With the integration of the patented Robobrain technology, robotics applications with modular Robco robots can now be designed even more efficiently and flexibly thanks to the use of artificial intelligence.

The AI robotics company robominds is continuing to realize its vision of equipping every industrial robot with a brain. With the newly developed interface for Robco's industrial robots, robominds is expanding its interface portfolio to include an important player from the field of industrial robotics. Thanks to Robco's open interfaces, the integration was ready for the market in just a few weeks. From now on, Robco robots can be easily linked to the patented robobrain technology - and are thus equipped with new capabilities, such as human-like gripping of objects, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence. The basis for this is robobrain - the brain that gives industrial robots human intelligence and combines artificial intelligence, vision and smart skills. Through the individual use of AI skills, robobrain provides the flexibility required to efficiently automate rigid processes.

Two Munich-based companies, one mission: simple & efficient robotics for everyone

A core element of both companies' vision is to enable the use of robots in small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, where budgets and resources are often strictly limited. Above all, access to robotics must be simple and efficient, as reservations often prevent companies from getting started with the use of robots, especially in combination with AI.

The easy-to-use "Robflow" software kit from Robco in combination with the AI-based robobrain fulfills precisely these requirements. "With Robco and robominds, two innovative Munich-based companies have joined forces. The robobrain technology integrates perfectly with our robots and software, creating even more efficient plug-and-play solutions for processes such as palletizing and depalletizing, bin-picking applications or the loading and unloading of machines," says Sebastian Liebetrau, Executive Business Development Manager at Robco. Roland Singer, Partner Manager at robominds, adds: "At robominds, we particularly appreciate the integration of Robflow and the modularity of Robco's solutions - together we have succeeded in bringing the world's first industrial robot with fully integrated AI to the market". The combination of Robco robots, robobrain and other robotic components creates customized solutions for industry that reduce initial costs and increase the efficiency of a wide range of processes without the need for time-consuming programming work. This guarantees companies a high degree of flexibility and process reliability.
