The highlights at the Fischer Connectors stand were ultra-robust single-pair Ethernet (SPE) and connectivity solutions for USB 3.2 Gen 2. They are designed for use in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) environments and offer high data transfer rates.
The IIoT market is growing exponentially: experts expect annual growth of more than 20 percent, reaching a market volume of 1.5 trillion euros by 2030. With billions of networked intelligent sensors, computers and machines as well as their actuators and controllers, the requirements for power and data volumes in Industry 4.0 and IIoT production environments are also increasing. All media must be transmitted and managed safely and efficiently - even over long cable runs. Miniature connectors and cables connect ever smaller devices and sensors in areas that are difficult to access and where space is at a premium.
