The first decisive innovation in the area of collaborative engineering is the possibility of dividing projects into sub-projects. In the case of larger switchgear systems, there are often several people working on a project, all of whom can now be integrated into the digital workflow. Wire chains can also be visualized. If two wires end in a connection point, the wiring technician traditionally works with double end sleeves. These connection points must also be identified in the system. This is now possible thanks to new color coding of wire chains.

The next core functionality of the new features is optimized graphics handling, which allows new scope for handling graphics data thanks to the extended user interface in version 2.8. One example: If the planner wants to work from a side and rear view of the enclosure, this can now be done at the touch of a button. 90-degree quickturns in Smart Wiring make this way of working faster and more accurate. Finally, a new test mode provides more certainty during the final inspection of the enclosure. as
