Special cable
Sensor cables for extreme temperatures
Sensor cables are often exposed to extremely low or high temperatures, and reliable data transmission must be guaranteed. Specialist cable manufacturer SAB has developed two new cables that are tailored to this area of application.
The two sensor cables can be used at temperatures from minus 50 to plus 150 degrees Celsius. The cables are robust and flexible, and their wide temperature range makes them ideal for use in measurement and testing technology, for example on truck and car test drives in the Arctic Circle or in extremely hot regions of the world.
The sheath surface of the cables has been developed in such a way that it does not create a stick-slip effect and the slim cable design enables minimum bending radii of up to five millimetres. This enables convenient installation, especially in test vehicles where space is often limited.
In addition, the small outer diameters and cross-sections allow them to be used on miniature sensors, as a strain gauge supply cable or as a connecting cable in module technology.
Depending on the application, the following sensor cables can be used:
Sensor minus 50:Low-temperature resistant sensor cable down to minus 50 degrees Celsius for measuring and testing technology. Supply cable for miniature sensors. Strain gauge supply cables with extremely tight bending radii. For indoor and outdoor use, even under difficult weather conditions.
Sensor plus 150:High-temperature-resistant sensor cable up to a maximum of 150 degrees Celsius for measuring and testing technology. Supply cable for miniature sensors. Strain gauge supply cables for extremely tight bending radii. Connecting cable for modular technology. as
