Yaskawa at the SPS

Openness at all levels

Connectivity to the PLC at all levels of industrial automation is the focus at Yaskawa. One example is the Sigma-7 servo system: in addition to Yaskawa's own Mechatrolink-III motion bus or integrated Ethercat interface, the axes are now also available with an integrated Profinet interface, enabling seamless integration into corresponding system environments without additional option cards.

When networking components, system parts and software, Yaskawa also relies on platform- and manufacturer-independent communication via OPC UA. Corresponding interfaces are now available for the CPUs Micro and Slio as well as for the HMIs smartPanel and Panel PC. Yaskawa will also be presenting further new developments and solutions for networked Industry 4.0 environments in the fields of control technology, drive systems and industrial robots. For example, a live demo cell will show how robots, servo drives, frequency converters and I/Os can be controlled via a single controller with the current Singular Control solution. The MP3300iec RBT compact machine controller provides the basis for this. as
