Omron has presented the sixth generation of its control devices for factory automation. These devices have been manufactured on a common design platform. The new products include 237 models in six categories of low-voltage switching devices, including the J7KC, J7TC, J7MC, J7KCA and J7KCR series low-voltage switching devices (LVSG), S8V-CP series DC electronic circuit breakers and the PTF-XX-PU socket for LY relays with push-in plus technology.

With its Value Design products, Omron aims to provide a complete solution for enclosure manufacturers while helping to save space and reduce workload and total cost of ownership. To achieve this, the company has introduced Panel Solution: a standardized design and size for enclosure devices including the company's own wiring method, the screwless Push-In-Plus technology. Manuela Mazza, Product Marketing Manager for Switching Components at Omron Europe, comments: "The low voltage switchgear is a complete package for a wide range of motor applications in any industry and the Push-In-Plus technology is designed for high vibration environments. The cable is always perfectly connected thanks to the strong tensioning force of the spring."

Since the initial launch in April 2016, Omron has expanded the product range manufactured on the common design platform to 17,250 models in 53 categories, making it the largest product range in the industry, according to Omron. The products are used in more than 15,000 companies worldwide. For example, they have been able to reduce the size of control cabinets by around 30 percent and wiring time by half.
