Häwa takes action against vandalism
At the SPS in Nuremberg, Häwa is presenting new enclosures that are particularly protected against vandalism: strong frame, thick metal, washable surface.
The new lockers from Häwa are particularly robust against external influences. And this applies not only to force, for example outdoors, but also to different scenarios in the plants. Thomas Eglof, Product Manager at Häwa: "Our cabinets must be equipped for Industry 4.0, i.e. for the changeover in companies." To achieve this, the product must be built in such a way that the technology it contains is protected from dust, water, draughts and even vandalism.
"In the past, you could build a normal backup in a sheet metal cabinet, which was generally not a problem," says Eglof. "Today, the cabinet is the protective cover for digital processes, which have become unimaginably complex, costly and sensitive. Our aim here was to reduce the risk of damage caused by external influences to a minimum."
In fact, vandalism costs millions every year. The company's development department has therefore created a cabinet concept that offers more protection against mechanical damage and has a surface that is even easier to clean - even when soiled by certain paints and varnishes.
Häwa will be showcasing this new development at the SPS. The company will also be exhibiting its extended range of control cabinets, the new lighting system for control cabinets and will be demonstrating the possibilities offered by the X-frame machine frame - from compact manual workstations to fully enclosed and appropriately secured enclosures. as
