Always under power
Stäubli Electrical Connectors launches the new 16BL single-pole high-current connector system with optimized safety functions and increased flexibility. It is designed for (emergency) power supplies and industrial applications and enables reliable power transmission even under extreme environmental conditions.
The new 16BL connector system is designed for high power ratings of up to 630 amps and for a temperature range of minus 40 to plus 120 degrees Celsius. The components are robust, resistant to salt spray and waterproof with IP65, IP68 and IP69 protection. Thanks to optimized operability, they can be handled easily and safely even under the most adverse operating conditions.
The new 45-degree bayonet locking system and the crimp and reusable Axiclamp cable connections ensure a reliable connection. The color and mechanical coding enables quick and intuitive identification and confusion-free plugging in the field. A microswitch integrated into the panel box signals the mated connection to the user and can also be integrated into a safety circuit for machine release in compliance with IEC 61984 requirements. For user protection, the connectors are designed with IP2X protection when unmated.
Mulitilam technology guarantees high mating cycles (up to 5,000 depending on the operating conditions) and consistently high contact quality with consistently low contact resistance over the entire service life.
Typical areas of application for 16BL are power supply and distribution as well as mobile power and emergency power supply in energy technology and in industrial applications both indoors and outdoors. as
