The new Etherline Robot PN FC Cat.5e with Fast Connect structure is a highly flexible industrial Ethernet cable specially designed for robot applications. Even with horizontal linear movements combined with torsion, seamless data communication of the feedback loops between the sensors on the robot arm, the robot controller and its connection to the control systems must be guaranteed. For this purpose, Lapp has developed the highly flexible cable for continuous motion applications with torsional stress. It is suitable for Profinet applications according to type R. The new version with Fast Connect connection is even easier to assemble and install thanks to a design trick.

More and more cables with small diameters have to be inserted in the tightest of spaces. Lapp has developed round and rectangular Skintop multiple entries for this purpose. Depending on the size, up to 30 unassembled cables and wires, as well as media hoses, can be inserted into one housing to save space. Foreign bodies cannot penetrate. The geometry of the individual entry points also makes it possible to increase the maximum clamping ranges with up to 4 mm variance per cable diameter.
