IoT adapter for enclosure cooling units
An upgrade for digital cooling
To achieve the goal of digitally integrated production, machines, systems and their components must be networked in the best possible way - which is not always the case today. A corresponding upgrade for cooling units is now available from Rittal.
Machines, systems and components must be integrated into the data flow of the entire value creation process for the industry of the future. But what can you do if you are not yet at home in this industrial world? Rittal has developed the IoT adapter for its Blue e series cooling units, which allows the units to be easily connected to smart condition monitoring and IoT systems.
Higher availability of machines and systems
With the IoT adapter, the Blue e series cooling units can be easily connected to an IoT interface from Rittal and thus integrated into the Industry 4.0 environment - without interfering with the automation. The web server integrated in the IoT interface makes configuration and commissioning quick and easy.
This means that not only can the data from the cooling solution be recorded, but efficiency analyses can also be carried out. Another major advantage is that the device can be monitored for faults or if limit values are exceeded, and operators are automatically notified. This ensures reliable availability and avoids expensive machine downtimes.
Also suitable for outdoor use
The IoT adapter can be used for all Rittal cooling units from the Blue e series. Roof-mounted and wall-mounted cooling units from this series - both standard and stainless steel variants - are thus upgraded for Industry 4.0. In addition, Rittal cooling units with a Nema-3R/4 or Nema-4X classification can be ideally integrated into IoT applications. These are also used outdoors, for example for solar or wind power plants. As these are often installed in remote areas, remote monitoring of the control and switchgear system is an advantage here.
