Software
Into the age of 4.0 with machine vision
MVTec Software will be showcasing its two flagship products Merlic 4 and Halcon 18.11 and explaining the use and benefits of machine vision in Industry 4.0.
Innovative machine vision standard software fulfills an important function in Industry 4.0, as MVTec Software will be demonstrating in Hanover. In keeping with the trade fair motto "Integrated Industry - Industrial Intelligence", the provider of machine vision software will be showcasing the highlights of its portfolio as part of the Robotics, Automation & Vision Application Park. Visitors can experience live how professional machine vision standard software contributes to the digital networking of man and machine through optimized process integration and ease of use.
The focus will be on Merlic 4, the new version of the standard software for the simple and efficient creation of image processing applications. Highlights include the parallel processing and execution of various tools as well as many other new and optimized functions of Merlic 4. MVTec Software will also be presenting the deep learning functions of its second flagship product, Halcon 18.11.
Demo for robot-assisted inspection
To illustrate the use and benefits of Merlic, MVTec Software is showing a new demo for robot-assisted inspection: The aim is to show how the software enables rapid conversion to other image processing tasks and how the processes can be integrated when a production line is changed. Here, a collaborative robot guides the camera, recognizes new workpiece rows itself and performs different tasks, ensuring flexibility when inspecting different objects. The exhibit also demonstrates the seamless integration of industrial image processing and programmable logic controllers (PLC). as
